As with most car adverts there is a certain level of abstract design that is expected and Mercedes Benz do not disappoint. In 2013 they released advertising gold with their Merry Christmas advert posted on Twitter. A car enthusiast’s and marketer’s dream, this clever play on the iconic Mercedes logo further emphasises the company’s sense of style.

In both print and TV adverts, JD Sports have pitched their Christmas ads perfectly this year, distinguishing them from the pack. Featuring a broken jingle, electric tempo and an obvious passion for trainers, this is a nice break from tradition.
Known for their sense of style and iconic Swedish design, IKEA keeps it simple with their 2014 Christmas ad. Advertising their early Christmas sale, this tongue and cheek ad perfectly captures their simplistic design style with a touch or sarcasm – we can’t think of a better way to advertise an early Christmas sale, can you?
Although technically not a print ad, we just had to include Mulberry’s #WinChristmas ad. Creative and a delightful departure from the tear-jerking blockbusters, Mulberry’s ad demonstrates an excellent sense of British humour and insight into human behaviour – maybe it’s not always about giving, but winning?
Not the first thing you think of at Christmas, the JustEat Christmas advert takes its slogan ‘mini fist pump’ and applies it to a comical Christmas office party scenario. Simple and effective, this takeaway advert hits the perfect festive tone.
