Ink cartridges can be expensive, which is why Epson’s new range of printers – and accompanying super-sized ink cartridges – are essential. Time to change everything…
Ink cartridges can be costly. Some last longer than others, of course, and those with small yields can see running costs mount. And we all know how frustrating it can be when ink runs out, or parts fail, halfway through a job; printer maintenance is one of businesses most pressing pain points.
With this in mind, Epson’s new range of WorkForce Pro printers are not only groundbreaking, they boast incredible longevity when it comes to cartridge yields. Supersized cartridges come in a sealed aluminum bag and a big handle at the top, and they have the ability to print up to 75,000 pages, perfect for professional use. With enough ink to fill three pint glasses, you won’t be running out in a hurry!
Launched last month, the four models offer the perfect solution for businesses desiring a localised printer fleet with the predictability of a centralized model. The WF-5690DWF, WF-5620DWF, WF-5190DW and WF-5110DW models all feature Epson’s piezo-electro technology, called PrecisionCore. A fancy name, but technology which doubles print quality and speed.
With print and mono capabilities, the Epson models boast print speeds ranging from 30-34ppm, while they can also scan up to 19 pages per minute. All four boast a monthly duty cycle of 35,000 pages, although Epson believe most business will use between 1,500 and 2,500 pages per month – which equates to an ink life expectancy of four years of uninterrupted printing!
The WF-5690DWF can print, scan, copy and fax and has USB and wireless (Airprint and Google Cloud) capabilities. For under £400, you get 34ppm (mono, 30ppm for colour) and incredible print quality, 4800 x 1200 dpi for up to 4,000 pages. There are fewer parts to replace than your typical laser printer, too. It has no heat technology and no ozone gases are emitted. It can hold 580 sheets, so you’ll spend less time refilling it. Prints dry fast, too, perfect for integrating into the business environment.
The WF-5620DWF weighs in at less than £250. It boasts the functionality of its more expensive counterpart and it’s scan-to functions and LDAP support makes it a reliable performer.
Cheaper still are the WF-5190DW, at around £130, and the WF-5110DW, £150. They’re smaller and are print-only (they’re not multifunctional) and have smaller sheet input trays. However, they still boast the same wireless capabilities and same print speed and quality as their more expensive counterparts. You can print securely with Email Print for Enterprise. Epson Connect5 also lets you easily print from smartphones, tablets, and its Wi-Fi Direct™ capability lets you print from supported wireless devices without connecting to a router.
So, wave goodbye to poor ink yields and rising costs. With Printernet’s expertise, you can not only purchase Epson’s groundbreaking models, we’ll help you find the right one. And with prices ranging from £130 to £380, there is something to suit every business.
